FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — A storm put down quite a bit of snow across parts of Arizona’s high country. In the mountains, it’s very common to get huge differences in snowfall across short distances, and this storm was no different!

Check out the difference in these Flagstaff totals. The airport at one point showed 4.1 inches, although that amount has now been updated to 7.4 inches. Look at the reports near the mall—one report shows 8 inches of snow, while the other shows 5.5 inches.

In the Prescott area, amounts ranged from 2 to 4 inches with 1.3 inches reported in Chino Valley.

Finally, the reports below are from a volunteer weather spotter network called CoCoRaHS. Notice that reports in the Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside area were around 2 inches. However, there is a new report that came in with around 6 inches of snow!

You can actually sign up to become a volunteer for CoCoRaHS; this information is critical and they are always looking for more help.
