(CNN) - A volcano in Alaska could be ready to blow.
Researchers said hundreds of small earthquakes have occurred over the past 10 months beneath Mount Spurr, which is located about 75 miles west of Anchorage.
The Alaska Volcano Observatory also said there are deformations in the earth near the area.
Scientists said those two things indicate that something is going on underneath the surface, which is likely magma moving within the earth.
However, experts said there is about a 50% chance Spurr will erupt.
There is no way to tell when that might be.
