PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Monsoon season is officially over, and the numbers are in. For Phoenix, it was the hottest and seventh driest monsoon on record.

The monsoon season in Arizona starts on June 15 and ends on Sept. 30. Rainfall during this period was the driest on record last year with a total of only 0.15 inches at Sky Harbor Airport. Some people even refer to last year as a “non-soon.”

For 2024, rainfall was heathier than last year but still not great with only 0.74″ measured. This puts 2024 in a tie with 2007 for the seventh driest monsoon on record for Phoenix.
