PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Monsoon season is here, meaning all kinds of things, like dust and leaves, can end up in your pool.

FilterClean owner Page Gray says that, especially during monsoon season in Arizona, not keeping up with cleaning may come with a hefty price tag. “It costs you a lot, and the last thing that you want to see is a green pool,” he said.

A few basic tasks are essential for pool health during the stormy monsoon months. The first is skimming the pool for leaves and other debris that can fall into it. The second is making sure that your pool chemicals are adjusted correctly.

“With monsoons you can get deluged with water. So you want to make sure to test the balance,” Gray says.

Finally, the pool filters are part of the last line of defense in keeping your pool clean. “Pool filters are the unsung heroes. They are the ones working hard, taking the debris and collecting it,” Gray explained.

Therefore, it’s critical to make sure that the filters stay clean. For more information about pool cleaning, visit filterclean.green/.
