HOLY HABOOB! Huge dust storm rolls across northwest Arizona
Strong t-storms roll up a wall of dust north of Kingman
KINGMAN, AZ (AZFamily) — High rollers may live in Vegas, but they might be covered in dust on Friday night, courtesy of a massive dust storm that originated here in Arizona.
Thunderstorms exploded north of Kingman around 4 p.m., delivering strong wind gusts, lightning and heavy rain.
As they were in their final stages, a huge outflow boundary rolled west, creating a huge, towering wall of dust, otherwise known as a haboob.
Arizona’s Family viewer Erika Herden captured the filthy monster rolling across the desert and posted a time-lapse video on our AZFamily First Alert Facebook group page.
It rolled west through Dolan Springs, dropping visibility and marched west into the Las Vegas Valley.
The National Weather Service office confirmed its arrival in a series of social media posts on X.
These thunderstorms here and across other parts of the state signal a return of the potential of storms here in the Valley late Sunday night and into Monday.
