Food not date marked, pink residue in ice machine found at Phoenix-area eateries
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for January 22, 2025:
Clearwater Assisted Living Facility - 15815 S 50th St, Phoenix
3 violations
- Pieces of equipment stored with food debris
- Chicken and rice soup out of temperature
- Containers of hummus with no date marks
Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar - 15205 N Kierland Blvd, Scottsdale
3 violations
- Raw tuna stored above mango
- Dark and pink residue in ice machine
- Blue cheese and olives not kept cold enough
Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport - 4300 E Washington St, Phoenix
3 violations
- Cook grabbed hamburger bun with bare hands then put it on customer’s hamburger
- Trash can blocking hand wash sink
- Eggs and breakfast sausages not date marked
