PHOENIX (AZFamily)Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Nov. 6, 2024:

Mr. Cook’s Chinese Cuisine - 3208 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix

3 violations

  • Two open cans of soda with straws in prep cooler
  • Employee cracking egg then grabbing vegetables
  • Can of Raid on shelf with single service items

First Watch - 2111 N Power Rd, Mesa

3 violations

  • Employee grabbed dirty dishes then fruit without washing hands
  • Sausage links and Hollandaise sauce not kept hot enough
  • Deli meat not kept cold enough

Little Ray’s Pizzeria - 20329 N 59th Ave, Glendale

3 violations

  • Dishwasher not cleaning properly
  • Noodles not cooling properly
  • Ranch and blue cheese out of temperature

El Pacifico Restaurante - 3311 N 16th Street, Phoenix

6 violations

  • No certified food manager on duty
  • Employee entered kitchen then didn’t wash hands
  • No hand wash sink in kitchen area
  • Clams obtained from unapproved source
  • Eggs stored above cilantro
  • Visible food debris on oyster shucker machine

Breakfast Bitch - 330 E Roosevelt Street, Phoenix

6 violations

  • No soap at hand wash sink
  • Cooked chicken wings stored below raw beef
  • Dishwasher not cleaning properly
  • Pan of cooked gravy not cooling correctly
  • Milk and heavy cream not kept cold enough
  • Cooked sausages and lettuce not date marked
