PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Aug. 21, 2024:
Anaya’s Fresh Mexican Restaurant - 7520 S. Rural Rd., Tempe

- Ice and straws in a hand wash sink
- Organic matter on a can opener blade
- Cooked beef and chicken kept past discard date
Ike’s Love and Sandwiches - 7420 S. Rural Rd., Tempe
3 violations
- Food debris under equipment and throughout sandwich making line
- Deli meats not kept at proper temperature
- Cleaning chemicals hanging over prep sink
Eggstasy DC Ranch - 20775 N. Pima Rd., Scottsdale
3 violations
- Cook cracking eggs then not washing hands
- Slicer with accumulation of food debris
- Cooked steak and chicken not kept hot enough
Yummy Box - 1430 W. Warner Rd., Gilbert
3 violations
- Hand wash sink full of dishes
- 2 containers with heavy organic matter growth
- Raw beef stored above open containers of soup
Thai House Restaurant - 1155 S. Power Rd., Mesa
4 violations
- Cooked chicken out of temperature
- Fried rice out of temperature
- Raw eggs stored over broccoli
- No certified manager on duty
