PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. - Raw pork stored below raw beef
- Lettuce and tomatoes not cooling properly
- Sour cream and butter at wrong temperature and tossed out
Denny’s - 7605 E McDowell Rd - Scottsdale
3 violations
- Cook cracked eggs then grabbed sausages
- Black organic matter on refrigerator door
- Black organic string shaped inside container of liquid egg
Star Mart - 2785 W Baseline Road, Tempe
3 violations
- Worker not washing hands properly
- Raw cubed chicken over ready to eat fries
- Coleslaw and yogurt not held at proper temperature
Z’s House of Thai - 6602 E Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek
3 violations
- Spray paint and first aid kit stored above canned foods
- Worker not re-heating food properly
- Dishwasher not cleaning properly
