Improper hand washing, expired beef and condiments found at Phoenix-area restaurants
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for June 12, 2024:
Trevor’s Liquor ― 3601 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix
3 violations
- Employee did not wash hands properly
- Employees used bare hands while handling food
- Dishwasher did not have enough cleaning solution in machine
Casa De Mina ― 25728 S Power Road, Queen Creek
4 violations
- Wiped dirty towel on thermometer used for food
- Guacamole and salsa not held at the proper temperature
- Expired beef and chili found in refrigerator
- Prep table did not have proper holding temperature
The Forum ― 2301 S Stearman Drive, Chandler
3 violations
- Employee did not wash hands before making food
- Sushi rice and garlic oil sitting out a room temperature
- Expired pasta found in refrigerator
