Arizona Cardinals linebacker hosts 4th annual charity celebrity basketball game
TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. is hosting his fourth annual charity basketball game in Tempe on May 10.
The event kicks off with free community fun, including a bounce house, face painting, food, games, and more, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. After that, the celebs will face off in a ticketed basketball game from 1-3 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.
Contests, including a relay and a 3-point challenge, will take place throughout the game. Community members will be invited to join in on these challenges.
This year, the day will benefit Fostering Champions and Make a Difference Foundation. Fostering Champions is an Arizona-based nonprofit that helps foster youth live independently of the foster care system. The Make a Difference Foundation works with student athletes in Wilson’s hometown of Montgomery, Alabama, and the surrounding area. The nonprofit is expanding its programs to Arizona this year.
