PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Cam Skattebo gave Arizona State fans a fall to remember on the football field. His record season earned him an endorsement from Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, with proceeds from the “Skatteburger” going to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

On Tuesday, Skat presented a check for $6,600 to PCH to give back.

“It means a lot. This is the first time I’ve been able to give back to something,” said Skattebo. “I could save a life one day. That’s something that’s going to be an impact in my life throughout all of my time playing. Seeing that these people also care like I do. Being able to give back together is something that is awesome.”

Skattebo hopes to hear his name called by the Arizona Cardinals at the NFL draft later this month. Whether he does or not, Arizona will always be a place he will call home.

“If I do end up staying in the Valley, it’s going to be crazy. No matter where I end up, I’m going to be the same person where I’m at,” said Skattebo. “ I love Arizona. I’m going to end up here at some point in my life.”

The former Sun Devils star has visits all over the NFL scheduled for the next few weeks leading up to the draft. He’s approaching it like he does a handoff in a big game, full steam ahead.

“It’s been fun. It’s stressful every day. Everything stresses you out no matter what. You don’t know where you’re going to be living in a month. I’ve enjoyed my time... with all the people I never knew I was going to meet. Just having this whole process and seeing that people care, this is awesome,” he said.
