Fans ready for Final Four weekend to come to Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily)— The Valley will take center stage in the college basketball world next weekend, as UConn, Alabama, Purdue, and NC State all advanced to the Final Four in Glendale for a chance to win a national title.
It’s the latest big sporting event to come to Arizona, with the semifinals slated to tip off on Saturday at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
“Just having all these great teams, Arizona I think right now is on the upcoming for sports,” said Amos Culbreth.
Fans like Culbreth are excited that the Final Four will be back in the Valley for the first time since 2017. It’s a chance to see some of the best college basketball teams in the nation battle it out on the court for glory.
“These college boys, they eat noodles. Lot of them not getting NIL deals, they really want to work hard, they really want to play and then outside of that, they got to have their academics right. So we getting the most authentic basketball right now in the Final Four,” said Chris Edison.
In addition to the games, Final Four weekend will feature concerts, a fan fest, and more. “The atmosphere, the experience,” said Culbreth.
