Cactus League sees 1.7 million total fans attend 2025 spring training games
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — While spring training is over and baseball season is underway, the Cactus League saw another significant growth in fan attendance this year at ballparks across the Valley.
On Wednesday, officials revealed a whopping 1,700,000 fans caught a Cactus League game this spring. Cactus League Executive Director Bridget Binsbacher said the league saw just under 50,000 fans a day across the 10 ballparks.
This is the fourth straight year the league has seen growth. Despite some small weather challenges this spring, the league adjusted start times to keep the ball rolling.
“We got those games in. We can’t make those games up during the season. Little things like that that we do behind the scenes to make sure that spring training happens, just all contributes to the success,” Binsbacher explained.
So, what does the league credit the success to? The fans’ love for baseball and their teams!
“People love spring training. We’ve had great success with our Cactus League teams, the Dodgers coming off of the World Series, so they’re continuing to draw. That energy spills over right into spring training,” Binsbacher explained. “There’s still so much opportunity, but it’s our job. All of these 10 facilities, their operations teams, they’re creating a welcoming environment for fans to come and enjoy spring training, make awesome memories, and then enjoy all the other things there are to see in Arizona.”
