TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — The Arizona Cardinals are lending a helping hand (or wings) to a fellow NFC west team in the wake of destructive wildfires that have swept across Southern California.

According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Red Birds were sending two of the team’s Boeing 777 planes to pick up Los Angeles Rams players, staff, and their families ahead of their Wild Card matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Rams will be arriving in Arizona on Friday night. In addition, the team will be using the Cardinals’ training facility in Tempe.

The NFL previously announced that the Wild Card game, which was originally scheduled to be played at the Rams’ SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, would be moved to State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

The Arizona cardinals are just one of a handful of NFL teams with their own planes. The team travels on a Boeing 777 that comfortably seats up to 288 people.

League officials said the decision was made due to the wildfires in the Los Angeles area after consulting with public officials, both teams and the player’s association.

Kickoff is slated for Monday at 6 p.m. Arizona time. Tickets are available now.
