Arizona’s Family surprises shoppers with Scheel’s gift cards ahead of Cardinals opener

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — We’re just days away from the Arizona Cardinals season opener against the Buffalo Bills. In preparation, Arizona’s Family teamed up with the Cardinals and Scheel’s to surprise some fans and shoppers with new gear!

Gibby Parra stopped by Scheel’s to make sure fans start the season on a great foot.

Gibby stopped one fan who was wearing a Larry Fitzgerald jersey and gave him quite the surprise to start his day. “Guess what? We have a $100 gift card that we want to give you,” Gibby said.

We then stopped another shopper who was browsing for cool sports gear. While the shopper was a Nebraska fan and couldn’t find any college sports gear, Arizona’s Family still gave him a present.

“How about a Cardinals jersey since you’re in Arizona?” Gibby asked. “My kid’s a Cardinals fan,” the shopper replied.

“I’m teaming up with the Arizona Cardinals for the start of the season as well as here with Scheel’s showing off this great place. I want to give you a $100, a $100 gift card. And now you could spend it on Nebraska if you want,” Gibby said.

Gibby then found a young fan modeling a Kyler Murray jersey.

“Are you ready? Are you pumped? Do you have your jersey ready? Do you have your shirt ready?” Gibby asked him. “Yep,” he replied.

Then Gibby gave him the shocking surprise.

“I’m with the Arizona Family Surprise Squad, and we’ve teamed up with the Arizona Cardinals and Scheel’s, this awesome place, I wanna give you $100,” Gibby told him. “I wanna give you $100 because I want you to go out and get yourself a shirt, a jersey. I want you ready for the season.”

That got his spirits up.

“I’m so excited, woo!”

A shopper from Australia may now become part of the Bird Gang, thanks to Gibby.

“I’ve become a football fan,” she said before Gibby ushered her to the Cardinals gear section.

“My name is Gibby. I’m with the Arizona Family Surprise Squad,” he said. “I’ve teamed up with the Cardinals and Scheel’s. We’re in here, this beautiful place, because I wanna give you $100. And that’s to buy whatever it is you want.”

Gibby tried to convince her to choose the Cardinals as her new favorite American football team.

“They’re good colors. I like the colors,” she said.
