PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Suns have joined the frenzy that is the 2025 NBA trade deadline.

The Suns have traded center Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick, according to ESPN sources.

Nurkic has been with the Suns since the 2023 season, when he was traded to Phoenix from Portland as part of the deal that sent Deandre Ayton to the Trail Blazers.

This season for the Suns, Nurkic is averaging 8.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

A move by the Suns has been anticipated leading up to Thursday’s trade deadline. The team missed out on the sweepstakes for star Jimmy Butler, who was traded from the Miami Heat to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

The trade deadline is at 1 p.m. Arizona time.
