Durant to miss at least 1 week after spraining ankle in Suns win over Spurs
PHOENIX (AZFamily/AP) — Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant will miss at least one week of action after injuring his ankle in Tuesday night’s NBA Cup game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Durant left the game with 3:51 to play in the second quarter and did not return. He headed to the locker room under his own power, and the Suns later said he hurt his ankle. He finished with 13 points as the Suns would go on to beat the Spurs 104-93.
The team says Durant sustained a left ankle sprain and that he will be re-evaluated in one week.

Devin Booker finished with 29 points on Tuesday, surpassing 15,000 career points with his first basket of the night. He trails only Walter Davis (15,666) on Phoenix’s scoring list.
Though Oklahoma City won West Group B in the NBA Cup, the Suns were hoping to earn a wild-card berth into the quarterfinals. But they were eliminated when Dallas beat Memphis.
Because the Suns are out of the tournament, two regular season games have been added to the schedule. The Suns will take on the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City at 7:30 p.m. MST on Friday, Dec. 13, then host the Portland Trail Blazers at 6 p.m. MST on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Both games will be televised on 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.
