2 Phoenix Mercury players to participate in cornhole charity competition
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The American Cornhole League will be in the Valley for a friendly competition this weekend featuring athletes and celebrities, including some Phoenix Mercury favorites!
On Friday, the league will be hosting “Cornhole for a Cause,” a live competition where eight celebrities and athletes will be paired up with cornhole pros to play for charity.
Two Phoenix Mercury players, Kahleah Copper and Satou Sabally, will trade in a basketball for a beanbag! Now-free agent Damion Lee, who had been with the Suns since 2022, will also try his hand at cornhole.

- Brian Urlacher - former Chicago Bears linebacker
- Sydel Curry-Lee - Sister of Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry
- Brandon Armstrong - former NBA player
- Bourke Floyd - Actor
- Sydnee Falkner - reality TV star
The event will be held at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa from 8-10 p.m. and aired on ESPN2. Fans can attend for free to cheer on their favorite athletes and celebrities.
