(CNN) - WNBA star Brittney Griner will have another fan cheering for her as she competes in the summer Olympics in Paris: her son.

Griner and her wife Cherelle welcomed their little bundle of joy on July 8.

The Phoenix Mercury star player revealed the joyous news Friday on the “She Knows Sports” podcast where she said, “That’s my man.”

She also said that her whole phone has turned into photos of him.

The couple first revealed they were expecting their first child on social media in April.

Before heading to Paris in the coming week, Griner will play for Team USA in Saturday’s WNBA All-Star game.

The star was released in December 2022 from detainment in Russia, after being sentenced for drug smuggling.
