PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Mercury have announced a transformative partnership ahead of the 2024 season. The team announced on Wednesday that they will be partnering with Cleveland Avenue and Partake Foods as their new badge partner.

It will be the first-ever rotating badge deal, meaning a different brand from Cleveland Avenue’s portfolio will be featured on Mercury jerseys each season.

“The magnitude of this historic partnership with Cleveland Avenue is built on our shared commitment to invest in and support women – from athletes to entrepreneurs,” Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Suns Chief Executive Officer Josh Bartelstein said in a statement. “Featuring Partake Foods on Mercury jerseys this season offers the opportunity to showcase a woman-founded company making a positive impact in its industry, furthering our goal to empower women on and off the court.”

Cleveland Avenue is an investment capital firm that owns lifestyle and tech companies, including Partake Foods and Footprint. This season, the Partake Foods logo will be featured on the left shoulder of the team’s jerseys.

Some may be wondering, who is Partake Foods? The company is a consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand that offers allergy-friendly snacks, including cookies, graham crackers and vanilla wafers. Denise Woodard founded Partake Foods in 2016 after her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies.

The snacks are healthy and good for those among the 32 million Americans with food allergies. All products are gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO.

“Being chosen as the inaugural brand of this incredible partnership is both an honor and aligned to Partake’s mission of radical inclusivity,” Woodard said in a statement. “We are proud to join Cleveland Avenue and the Phoenix Mercury in championing all that women are capable of achieving.”

Partake Foods can be found at Valley and nationwide grocery stores such as Target, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Albertsons and The Fresh Market. To see where products are sold near you, visit their Find Us locator.

This past week, the country’s eyes were on the WNBA draft, and the Mercury were able to grab some backcourt help in the late rounds. In the third round, Mercury drafted UCLA point guard Charisma Osborne and Nebraska guard Jaz Shelley.

Mercury fans can watch 28 games on 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports, and 12 games will be broadcast nationally. To see the complete broadcast schedule, click or tap here.

The team begins its regular season in Las Vegas against the Aces on May 14. The home opener against the Atlanta Dream is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
