2 members of ASU women’s golf team invited to championship in Georgia
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two Sun Devil women’s golfers are heading to Georgia for a chance to compete at Augusta National — home of the Masters!
Patience Rhodes and Beth Coulter have been invited to the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship next week. The invite is a prestigious honor, as invites are only issued to a select amount of the best female amateurs in the world.
The first two championship rounds at a Champions Golf Club in Augusta. Players who make the cut will then play at the iconic Augusta National Golf Course.
This isn’t the first time the Sun Devils have participated in the iconic event! ASU women’s golfers have now made 17 appearances at the event.

“It’s going to be such a big deal because of the history of it and all. So I’m just going to try and take it step by step, stay patient with it, and kind of just treat it like another tournament,” said Rhodes.
“I think, obviously, it’s the biggest thing that we’ve probably ever done in golf. It’s kind of like the pinnacle, and to do it there is gonna be really special. And I think it really helps probably doing it with someone like Patience. You know, we’re good friends, and we get to do it together,” Coulter added.
Before they travel to Georgia, the two will participate in the PING/ASU Invitational on Friday, March 28.
