ASU hockey looks to continue run to NCAA Tournament in game against Minnesota Duluth
DULUTH, MN (AZFamily) — Arizona State hockey is facing off against Minnesota Duluth (UMD) again in their second game of the weekend.
Last night, the Sun Devils fell short in a 3-2 overtime loss. The loss snapped the team’s record-setting on-the-road winning streak at six games.
ASU’s past three games have all gone into overtime.
The Sun Devils fought back against UMD Friday to catch up and tie the game within the first 20 minutes. Then, ASU stole the lead in the second period.
The lead was short-lived as the Bulldogs tied the score once again. The teams remained tied through regulation until UMD scored a game-winning goal in overtime.
