ASU Sun Devils football team lands in Georgia ahead of Peach Bowl
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona State University football team landed in Georgia on Sunday night ahead of the Peach Bowl matchup against the University of Texas on New Year’s Day.
Before the team got on the plane, the players and staff were given a heroes sendoff from hundreds of fans dressed in maroon and gold who gathered outside Mountain America Stadium on Sunday morning.
Arizona’s Family spoke one-on-one with ASU President Dr. Michael Crow after he landed in Atlanta.
“I think the exciting thing is that when you have a coach deeply dedicated to the team and a team deeply dedicated to a coach, you win. And that’s what we’ve got going on, so it’s bigger than all of the other things going on in college sports. It’s about a group of young men together who are competing at the highest possible level because they believe in each other,” said Dr. Crow.
The 2025 Peach Bowl will be ASU’s first appearance in the College Football Playoff and the school’s first time playing in the Peach Bowl since 1970.
The game starts at 11 a.m. on Jan. 1.
