ATLANTA (AZFamily) — Arizona State fans who make the long trip to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl can prepare for the College Football Playoff game with other Sun Devil faithful.

The bowl game is set for 11 a.m. Arizona time on Jan. 1, when the Sun Devils will play the Texas Longhorns. This will be ASU’s first appearance in the Peach Bowl since 1970.

If you’re making the trip to Atlanta, you can connect with fellow Sun Devils from across the country at Sparky’s Touchdown Tailgate! The event is set for 9 a.m. to noon local time at the Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Ballroom, Building C.

The ASU tailgate will be held indoors, next to the official Peach Bowl FanFest, steps away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Admission to Sparky’s Touchdown Tailgate is $75 for adults and $55 for children 6 to 17. The tickets include two complimentary drink tickets, a full meal and a Sun Devil giveaway.

Seth Deitchman, an ASU alumnus who lives in metro Atlanta and the past president of the ASU Alumni Georgia Chapter, had recommendations for fans in Atlanta.

“Expect it to be busy. It’s the busiest airport in the world. It’s easy to navigate the airport at least,” Deitchman told Arizona’s Family. “Then just plan on taking MARTA, which I think is a great way of transportation. It’s kind of the subway without being underground. So that’s a great resource; Uber of course, is awesome. Lots of traffic otherwise if you decide to get a rental car. There’s lots of traffic here.”

Tickets for the Peach Bowl can be purchased on secondary markets with prices starting under $100 for upper level seats.

“We’re sold out; we’ve been sold out with our tickets,” Peach Bowl President and CEO Gary Stokan said. “Both teams, Arizona State and Texas, get 13,000 tickets, and as far as I know, they sold out of their allotment. It’s going to be a sold-out electric atmosphere on January 1st for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.”

If ASU beats Texas in the Peach Bowl, they would advance to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. ASU is already taking ticket requests for that game in the event the Sun Devils advance.

The Cotton Bowl is set for Friday, Jan. 10.
