Shop vintage pieces for an affordable price at central Phoenix thrift store
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Find something super cool for cheap! That’s what owner EP Bradley wants his customers to do at King Pigeon Thrift & Vintage on Central Avenue, just south of Camelback.
EP is an artist who grew up in the working class in the West Valley. He worked in the service industry for years and found thrifting as a way to find cool things at a low price and create his own personal style.
King Pigeon offers a curated grab-bag of vintage and thrift clothing, knickknacks, housewares, weird odds & ends, guitars, and other musical equipment.
EP says everything inside the store is fairly and equitably priced, making it an affordable secondhand and vintage store. The motto is “YOUR LIFE JUST GOT BETTER,” as the pigeon wants to ensure everyone finds a cool item at a rad price. Everyone deserves cool things and to feel the buzz of finding something at a great deal!
Why name the store King Pigeon? EP says pigeons are the perfect analogy for vintage and thrift items, as the pigeon used to be one of the most expensive animals in Europe. They were prized for their beauty, but they fell out of favor due to no fault of their own.
That’s the same with vintage clothes, he says — someone loved them and paid full price. The stuff didn’t change, but it’s still as cool as it first was!
