PHOENIX (AZFamily) — When a kitten was recently stuck in a storm drain, rescuers didn’t hesitate—and that is something good!
Lunes was just a four-month-old brown tabby shorthair when he got stuck in a storm drain under a Phoenix sidewalk in December. A couple of emergency animal technicians were sent to get the kitten out and bring him to the Arizona Humane Society’s trauma hospital.
He was a bit scared but otherwise in good condition.
And there’s more good news! Lunes was put up for adoption, and he soon found his forever home in Scottsdale. The humane society says he’s doing great!
AHS officials say Lunes was just one of 11,000 calls they received to help animals last year. They encourage everyone to consider fostering or adopting animals in need of a good home.
