SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — There are so many great artists and galleries in Arizona, and it’s something good when they want to give back.

Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week runs Thursday through Sunday at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Not only will it feature works from hundreds of galleries worldwide, it will also showcase a unique rendering of the Colorado River.

Artist Ben Miller is known for a method called fly cast painting, where he uses a rod and reel to create art. Think fly fishing, but with a brush at the end of the rod instead of a hook to paint a canvas.

Miller will travel to the Colorado River Indian Tribes reservation on Wednesday and create a portrait of the land. The artist will then donate 50% of the sale of the painting at the art week event back to the tribes. And that is something good!
