Get your sweet and savory fixings at Absolutely Delightful AZ Honey in Phoenix
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Absolutely Delightful AZ Honey started in 2002 after Eleanor Dziuk saw the need to bring local Arizona honey to the farmer’s markets. The business began with one beekeeper and has now grown to include more than 10, introducing to customers the wide variety of flavors and textures available in Arizona.
Their honey comes from bees in Buckeye, Gila Bend, Coolidge, Wickenburg, Fountain Hills and Winslow, just to name a few. Absolutely Delightful has infused honey and created five extra special honey categories that they are so excited about.
The healthy variety consists of turmeric with either orange and ginger or black pepper. Hot, spicy honeys range from “not too hot” to Carolina Reaper, which is very hot!
Some regular flavors consist of peach, lemon, or ginger. Bitter Bee honey is more tart than bitter, like Jolly Ranchers in a jar. It is great in tea or on ice cream! The newest addition to the collection is Golden Crème honey, which is a combination of cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, coconut and walnut swirl.
Absolutely Delightful operated for 15 years out of its garage and moved into an office complex in 2020. It expanded again in 2023, creating a unique experience to shop and hold workshops like mead making, honey tasting, tea parties, and candle making.
One workshop includes a beekeeper who conducts educational events and answer questions. He is also bringing along an observation hive so the children can watch it in action. Dates are posted on the Absolutely Delightful AZ Honey social media.
