PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Lori Hassler’s love of travel and the European lifestyle led to a fascination with the bistros and cafés of France and Italy. She loves the ideology that life is about who you are and with whom you are dining—and the most important things revolve around a good meal.

With that focus, she brought together friends, family and peers to create The Farish House. She calls it a culmination of her family’s travel, wine and cooking experiences and the charm of this historic home.

At the Farish House, the food is about elevating simple ingredients through low and slow cooking, making the most of ingredients and honoring traditional recipes. She says to imagine a kitchen of grandmas and aunties cooking for you all day—that’s what you’ll get here.

On the menu, you’ll find dishes like saffron chicken noodle soup, Pinot-Plum Lavender Duck Leg Confit, Chianti Braised Short Ribs and Lobster Risotto. Lori says The Farish House is a place for you to come in and enjoy your company, with no rush, no pretense, just honest cooking and caring service.
