Peter loves gardening, video games, and his culture
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — In this week’s Finding Forever, where we introduce you to loving children in foster care looking for families to call their own, you will meet Peter.
He’s a quiet kid with many hobbies, including art, and boy, was the paint flying at Spin Art Nation and Splatter Studio in Phoenix. 11-year-old Peter had the place to himself.
Most of the time kids are told to color within the lines, but there were no rules here!
“I haven’t thrown water paint, but I have thrown water balloons,” Peter said. It was his first time at the studio, and he had a blast.
Peter has all sorts of hobbies, from video games to gardening and sports.
His favorite basketball team is the Chicago Bulls. “They have some good players on there,” he said.
His favorite food is Chinese for all the right reasons.
“Because orange chicken tastes good,” Peter said with a smile.
Peter would do well in a family that can give him one-on-one attention and allow him to explore and honor his Hispanic roots. He said he likes the food in Hispanic culture and holidays that honor the dead, such as Día de Muertos.
“We had flowers going everywhere,” he said, remembering the celebration one year. “And then we started painting our faces for family that died.”
Peter likes math, trips to the library and watching his radishes grow in the garden.
This kind kid has many things that make him happy, and he is just waiting for a loving and nurturing family to add to his list.
