PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Sony Pictures officially announced the cast for The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event, the four biopic films about the members of the iconic rock band The Beatles.

Directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall, 1917), the cast features Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

In a unique twist, this won’t be one film centered around the whole band, but instead four separate films telling the personal story of each individual member and their contributions to the band’s music and legacy. Mendes will serve as director on all four films.

The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event is scheduled to be released in April 2028.
