Goodyear dessert shop puts cool twist on a classic breakfast
GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — A West Valley dessert shop is putting a cool twist on a classic and crunchy breakfast!
Cereal Killerz Kitchen opened four years ago in Goodyear near McDowell and Litchfield roads.
The shop’s walls are lined with over 100 cereal boxes in popular and rare flavors. Customers can get their favorite cereal drilled into ice cream for a delicious dessert or milkshake.

“We have over 140 types of cereal that you can combine with ice cream, milkshakes, waffles, doughnuts, coffee, a little bit of everything for everybody. For the children, for the young adults, for the adults, for the grandparents,” said Justin Weatherspoon, owner of Cereal Killerz Kitchen.
There is a set menu full of sweet and colorful treats like milkshakes or ice cream infused with cereal. For example, the Poppin Pebblez Poptart milkshake made with fruity pebbles, the PB&J milkshake with peanut butter Cap’n Crunch cereal, or the Cookie Butter Crunch Milkshake that includes Teddy Grahams. There are also flavored iced coffee drinks.
Those looking to try something new can create their own treat with their favorite cereal drilled into the ice cream.

Along with the shakes and ice cream, Cereal Killerz Kitchen offers a build-your-own waffle option or an ice cream taco, which is a waffle cone in the shape of a taco shell coated in fruity pebbles. The taco shell is then filled with fruity pebbles ice cream and topped with whipped cream.
Cereal lovers can also see if they are up to take the Cereal Challenge. In this challenge, all 140 types of cereal are combined into a big bowl with milk, and the contestants have an hour to finish the bowl. If you complete the challenge, you get a prize, which includes being added to the Cereal Challenge Wall of Fame.
Weatherspoon says Cereal Killerz Kitchen is a place for everyone. “Everyone can come in, watch cartoons, build their favorite cereal combination of what they used to enjoy when they were younger.”
Weatherspoon’s love for cereal started at a young age. When he was a child, his mom only let him have one box of cereal open at a time. Fast-forward to his college years, Weatherspoon said he and his friend would run late to class, stop by the cereal cart on the Arizona State University campus, and grab a bowl of cereal. They both thought, why not open a cereal bar, which soon evolved into their current business.

The friends opened the first Cereal Killerz Kitchen in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2019 and went on Shark Tank in 2020. Although they didn’t get a deal, Weatherspoon says it was a great experience.
Shortly after, they decided to expand Cereal Killerz Kitchen to other cities. They opened a shop in Salt Lake City, and then Weatherspoon brought the business to his home in Goodyear in 2021. “There’s nothing else like it,” he says.
On March 20, 2025, Cereal Killerz Kitchen celebrated its 4th anniversary in Arizona and is going on the road to commemorate its success in Goodyear. Weatherspoon recently got a trailer and plans to travel and share their cool and delicious desserts around the Valley.
