PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Christmas came early for a lot of families at Sky Harbor Airport Tuesday as they welcomed home loved ones for the holidays.

Jo and Marty Dale of Peoria got all dressed up to welcome home their daughter Brittney from New York. They even brought their dog, Audrey Hepburn.

Arizona Family’s cameras were rolling for the happy reunion.

“It means everything to me to have my daughter here,” said Jo Dale. “I have put up 2 nine foot trees with ornaments. I have decorated everything and bought everything gluten free I could find.”

Herlinda Giron was waiting to see her cousin Willy, who’d never been to Arizona before and had never met his Phoenix family.

“I’ve never met him in person, only Facetime, so I didn’t know how tall he was,” said Giron. “I didn’t know how he looked in person.”

It didn’t appear like the cousins had any trouble spotting each other in the crowd.

Cinda and Jim Willittes of Chandler were waiting for their daughter, Leann, and son-in-law, Dylan, to arrive from Pittsburgh.

The kids visit every Christmas, but the pure joy and excitement of greeting them at the airport never gets old.

“I know that my parents are always going to be the first ones to see me,” said Leann Willittes. “We always give goofy little waves, there’s nothing like it.”

“We look forward to this every year, for them to come here for Christmas,” said Cinda Willittes. “It makes my heart full and it makes our home feel like a home again.”
