PHOENIX — Need a delicious dessert to complete your Memorial Day feast? We have you covered.

Sprouts is celebrating its Cherry Festival; so they joined us to help make a cherry cobbler using boxed scone mix

WHAT YOU’LL NEEDHOW MUCH YOU’LL NEED
Sprouts Dark Chocolate Cherry Chip Scone Mix1 box
Sprouts Whole Dark Cherries (frozen)2 each 12 oz packages
Corn Starch½ cup
Lemon1 ea
Powdered Sugar1 tablespoon

PREPARATION

  • Preheat your oven to 375*F.
  • Place your cherries into a bowl and coat with the vanilla, lemon juice, sugar and corn starch.
  • Per the box instructions, prepare your scone mix. Once your scone dough is ready cut into 2″-3″ pieces and place across the top of your cherry mixture.
  • Bake the cobbler for 40-45 minutes until scones are firm and cherry filling has thickened.
  • Let rest for 5-10 minutes and dust with powdered sugar

TIPS

Yields 1 9″ scone topped cobbler

Fresh cherries can be used when they are at peak season and sub out 1-1
