MEMPHIS, TN (AZFamily)—The grounds of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are adorned with a beautiful art installation that’s filled with colors and one word: hope.

The Hope Garden was inspired by a former St. Jude patient and has now become a place for spiritual healing.

Jeremiah Godby was diagnosed with a rare cancer at 6 years old. He had a slight chance of survival. Doctors at St. Jude suggested an experimental bone marrow transplant that worked.

Years later, Godby suggested the Hope Garden as an outdoor space where families can go for healing.

Godby is one of the many patients who benefitted from St. Jude and the donations made towards the research.
