WHITERIVER, AZ (AZFamily) — A tribal community in eastern Arizona is free to move around after a lockdown was put in place due to a suspect being spotted with a gun near Whiteriver.

The lockdown was lifted around 4:30 p.m., about an hour after it was put in place for those living in the White Mountain Apache Tribe around Whiteriver, located about 35 miles south of Show Low. People were told to stay inside, lock their doors and not come to the central offices or the executive building.
