GLOBE, AZ (AZFamily) — As the investigation into the murder of Emily Pike continues, federal authorities are now matching a reward to help find the person responsible.

The FBI announced on Wednesday a reward of up to $75,000 for anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest in the murder of the 14-year-old who was found dead nearly three months ago. It’s separate from the $75,000 reward being offered by the San Carlos Apache tribe.

Pike was from the San Carlos Apache reservation and had come to a Mesa group home due to her struggle with mental health, her former roommate told Arizona’s Family. Police say she ran away from the group home in January, weeks before authorities located her dismembered remains off a rural road near Globe on Valentine’s Day.

The impact of Pike’s murder was felt by the local community, and it has sparked national attention on the violence that impacts Native American communities. This past weekend, the FBI, along with other tribal agencies, held a child identification event in response to Pike’s murder, where families received resources like national child ID kits.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI’s Phoenix Field Office at (623) 466-1999. You can also contact your local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
