Suspect on the run after shooting outside Tempe bar
The bar is near Arizona State University’s Tempe campus
TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is recovering after being shot Saturday afternoon at a popular bar in Tempe.
Tempe PD says a man in his 30s was shot in the abdomen just outside the parking lot of Casey Moore’s Oyster House near Ash Avenue and 9th Street. Crews on scene helped the man before transporting him to a local hospital.
As of Sunday morning, the man remains in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing, but police believe the shooting stemmed from a fight outside the bar. Lt. Andrew Brooks with Tempe PD said it appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
Police are still searching for the suspect, who officers say may be in a white sedan somewhere in the area.
Tempe Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact them at (480)350-8311.
