Pedestrian critically injured in crash in Avondale

AVONDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle late Wednesday night in Avondale, and police are looking for the driver responsible.

Avondale PD responded to the pedestrian-involved crash around 10:30 p.m. near 113th Avenue and Buckeye Road. When officers arrived, they found the man with serious injuries.

First responders took the man to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.

No vehicle was found at the scene, as the driver fled before officers arrived. No information was provided about the driver. Anyone with information that could help find the driver is asked to contact Avondale Police.
