Circle K agrees to pay over $3,100 in repairs for Sun City motorist

SUN CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — Jena Gable says she sure is glad she contacted On Your Side.
“I involved Gary Harper. He made a few phone calls, did a few interviews, and boom,” Gable said, smiling. “I feel like I wish I would have called Gary sooner.”
Gable recently explained to us how she was driving her 2022 Dodge Challenger into a Circle K in Sun City and pulled into a parking space. But when she tried to leave and back out, there was a problem.
“I just start hearing peeling away, and we were like what the heck was that?” Gable said.
She provided pictures that show what happened. As she was backing out, Gable’s front bumper was snagged by metal rebar that was sticking out of the parking stump. As a result, her front bumper was torn from the vehicle, along with some other damage.
Gable immediately filed a report with Circle K staff, who took their own photos, and Gable pieced the bumper back together the best she could so she could drive home.
However, more than six weeks later, Gable says her vehicle remains damaged because she claims Circle K won’t return her numerous phone calls, and repair estimates are for over $3,100.
So On Your Side got involved, and Gary Harper asked Circle K to investigate. They did and immediately turned the issue over to their insurance, which contacted Gable and told her they would pay to have her car repaired.
Gable says it only happened with the help of On Your Side.
“At this point, they’re super apologetic for taking over six weeks to communicate with me,” she said. “I appreciate that Circle K has taken the reins on this finally and doing the right thing.”
And Gable says the insurance company is also helping her with renting a car while her vehicle is being repaired.
