Brush fire forces 30 mile closure of Highway 180/191 in eastern Arizona

ST. JOHNS, AZ (AZFamily) — A fast-moving brush fire forced the closure of an Eastern Arizona highway Thursday afternoon.
According to the Apache County Emergency Management, the closure is in effect along Highway 180/191 from St. Johns to Springerville.
Photos shared by emergency officials showed a large fire not far from the roadway, but no other details are known at this point.
County officials urged residents and travelers to avoid the area.
