ALPINE, AZ (AZFamily) — Evacuations have been lifted as a wildfire burns in Apache County near the community of Alpine Village.

The fire broke out shortly after 12 p.m. on Tuesday in an area south of Alpine, along US 191 near the Alpine Elementary School District.

While initially on SET status, Apache County Emergency Management and the Apache County Sheriff’s Office issued a “GO!” status for area residents for much of the early afternoon but it was lifted just before 5 p.m.

Other details about the fire were not immediately available.
