QUEEN VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily) — Evacuations have been lifted after crews gained control of a brush fire that broke out near a Pinal County community on Thursday morning.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office initially issued a “Go-Evacuate” alert shortly after 10:30 a.m. for residents who live in the southwest region of Queen Valley. The status was downgraded to “Set” around noon, allowing residents to return home.

Residents who live in the north and west regions of Queen Valley have been placed in “Ready” status. As of noon, that status has not changed.
