BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — A new wildfire that started over the weekend has burned more than 600 acres north of the Valley.

According to the Bureau of Land Management, the Soap Fire started on Sunday afternoon and is burning three miles northwest of Black Canyon City. Officials say the blaze is in “inaccessible terrain,” so ground and aviation crews are working to reach it.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, the fire’s current size is estimated at 620 acres with no containment. Officials with Arizona’s Department of Forestry and Fire Management say large air tankers from California have been called to help fight the flames.

BLM says the fire is human caused and under investigation.
