Arizona leaders announce apprenticeship programs for semiconductor industry
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Leaders in Arizona and the city of Phoenix announced programs on Tuesday aimed at bolstering the state’s booming semiconductor industry.
Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs joined Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, TSMC Arizona President Rose Castanares and state education leaders to announce new apprenticeships for the industry.

The new apprenticeship programs in the semiconductor industry are set to begin in January 2025.
This announcement comes at the start of National Apprenticeship Week and alongside the Governors Apprenticeship Innovation Summit hosted by the National Association of Governors.
Recently, Hobbs announced the fifth installment of the Future48 Workforce Accelerator, which gives students a direct pipeline for in-field experience and helps them secure jobs in Arizona’s growing high-tech industry.
