Phoenix animal shelter hosts gala to help puppies find ‘fur-ever’ home

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — How would you like to get dressed for a night out and support a good cause?
On Friday, Nov. 15, a central Phoenix animal shelter will do Something Good by having an event to help dogs find their “fur-ever” homes.
Almost There Rescue is hosting its annual “Vanity Fur Gala,” which raises money for the shelter to care for mama dogs and their pups. The shelter has placed hundreds of dogs into new homes.
“We specialize in pregnant dogs, nursing dogs and puppies, and we try to keep the moms and puppies together until they’re at least 6-8 weeks old,” said Tiffany Roschmann, Almost There Outreach Director.
The gala will be held at the Wrigley Mansion near 24th Street and Lincoln Drive. It will include live music, cocktails, a silent auction, adoptable puppies and more.
“The funds that we make at the gala will help us throughout the next year so that we can continue saving lives,” Roschmann said.
Roschmann says they are always looking for people to foster their pups. The foster program has a set timeline, and the shelter supplies everything needed to care for the furry friends.
