Maricopa County animal shelter waives dog adoption fees; 350 pups over capacity
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is waiving all dog adoption fees as the shelter nears 1,000 pups, or about 350 dogs over the shelter’s capacity.
In honor of International Dog Day, the shelter announced it will waive adoption fees for the dogs in its care today. Yes, that includes puppies!

The shelter says many dogs have already been spayed/neutered and are ready to be taken home. When searching through the adoptable dogs, turn on the “Take Me Home Today” filter.
Maricopa County Animal Care and Control encourages people to adopt one of its “long timers.” Some of its dogs have spent more than 100 days waiting to meet their new best friend.
