Looking for a furry friend? Adopt these 3 puppies through the Arizona Humane Society
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s a puppy party! Three adorable puppies joined Good Morning Arizona for our Sunday Sweetheart segment — and these little bundles of joy are looking for their forever families!
Tumbleweed, Sienna and Tawny came to the Arizona Humane Society from the San Carlos Apache Reservation as part of a litter of 10 puppies. The pups were lovingly named after Crayon colors!
“The mother’s name is Crayola, and it was Crayola and her crayons. So when I got them home, I decided to kind of keep going with that theme, and so I named them shades of brown. I had to look the Crayola colors because I know there’s so many these days,” said Perry Fanzo with the Arizona Humane Society.
The adorable dogs are about seven weeks old and will be up for adoption soon. Perry says if you are interested in adopting the dogs and getting a head start on the adoption process, contact him at samba1@cox.net.
Do you have a teen interested in working with animals? The Arizona Humane Society also offers a leadership program called Humane Teens for ages 14 through 17.
“They learn leadership skills. They learn mentoring skills. They help us, you know, in in various ways. If you have a child that maybe is leaning toward animal welfare type things or maybe being a veterinarian, it’s a fantastic program. Again, kids 14 through 17, It is scholarship based, so you actually do have to apply and have letters of recommendation,” Perry explained.
The organization asks that teens donate 25 hours of service in a semester if you sign up for the program. For more information, visit azhumane.org/humane-teens.
