Arizona Humane Society offering $0 dog adoptions for limited time
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Are you looking for your next furry friend? Stop by the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) to give a pup a forever home — for free.
From now until April 7, AHS will be offering $0 adoptions for all dogs as they care for 1,000 sick, injured and abused pets across multiple locations. Adopting helps not only save the lives of pets, but gives space for sick, injured and abused pets to be cared for by staff. The waived adoption fees are thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelter” event.
One of the adorable pups that’s ready to find her family is Colonel Cabbage, a one-eyed pug. Last month, she was rescued after an AHS Emergency Animal Medical Technician found her with a badly injured eye. Unfortunately, her eye couldn’t be saved, but she’s made a miraculous recovery. Colonel Cabbage is a loving an energetic pup who’s ready to go home!

All adoptable pets come spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with a free follow-up pet exam. To see all pets available for adoption, visit azhumane.org/adopt.
